Due to the impact of COVID-19 mostly school and college get closed. During that period the alternative ways of teaching and learning were mostly used and teacher and student depend on online classes. It gives an golden opportunities to the teachers to use online classes and virtual learning activities but it set hard challenges also.
Specially mostly teacher use that online class in a way of showing power point ,PDF and solving multiple choice questions. This practice negatively impact on real life learning and daily life education and also miss some deep teaching activities .
Therefore we should have to do the modern online teaching in more effective way
What is an Artificial Teaching Situation?
Artificial teaching refer that the condition focused only on sharing information but not in the feelings of students and social context and social life. In this condition teachers provide the ppt ,pdf,notes and assignments for student.
For Example: If the topics is social equality, the teacher show introduction in power point but not share information like how it relate in daily life of students this is the situation of artificial teaching. It is more focused on how to pass the exam.
Why this is a Problem?
- Lack of real feeling : Education is effective only when it connect with life.in online classes information can be shared only through slides if students don’t know about the knowledge application in their life that education is always half.
- Less Active involvement : In online teaching system there is no physical presence of students and teacher so the face to face communication in bias and student should not have less concentration. It leads to the result of less learning and effective learning.
What to do? Practical teaching methods
- Use of related examples : During online teaching and learning teacher should use topics related examples to help students understanding like if the class topics is “ climate Change” then example should be given like then vs now snow fall timing and winter and summer season timing now days the time pushing late due to climate change
- Vocal interaction with students : During online learning in the platform such as Zoom meeting, Google Meet, MS team should use two way communication like ,group discussion ,student view, question and answer session etc.
- Project based learning : To get the real life related effective learning for student , the project based learning should be very impactful, this concept play role to do project by students their self , for example if the topics is climate change now student have to do research in local area climate change so that can be helpful to know the real climate change process by practical.
- Use of local context to connect real life : While teaching online classes teacher should have to connect students by giving their example related with culture, religion ,social norms etc. that can help student to connect with the topics by feelings their own .

Online class and net learning is a modern days learning system with the use of technologies it is very effective learning while the access of net is enough while it also has negative impact on the learning process as above mentioned .
Remember Again : “Education is not about giving information : It is to teach how to think. Net also should be the medium of its not to show information.”
